I bought Frontline for my dogs and it didn't work either. I went back
to place of purchase and was told that they had numerous complaints
about it. I then bought advantix and have had much better results. I
paid 50.99 for a fourpack which is a little steep to me but it is more
at the vet's office. I read the information on the box and it kills
fleas, ticks and mosquitos and kills fleas in the larvai stage for
dogs 7 weeks or older and weighing 55 pounds or more. I have to say
that I do not want to see that 55 pound 7 week old puppy when he gets
to be fully grown lol.

I have used frontline in the past and it worked but this year for some
reason it did not even slow the fleas down. I have also used Adams
products before and it works well for fleas but living in Florida we
have a major mosquito problem which according to the experts is going
to be really bad this year so I decided to go with the advantrix to
help fight that problem.

I must tell yall that with all the bad dog food problems I am so glad
I changed Rudy and Rachels diet before all this came up. If there is
a problem with anything Rudy would be the first in line to have it. I
do feed them a vitamin supplement with the food I prepare for them so
I feel they are getting all the right stuff in their diet.

A little funny story about Rachel. We have bought a Ford Expedition
with the ac controls for the front and the back. Yesterday was the
first time we really used the ac. Today we put the dogs in the truck
and had not even gotten out of the driveway before spoiled rotten brat
(SRB) Rachel started whining. As soon as the air came on, even though
it wasn't cool yet, she stopped whining. It doesn't take her long to
adjust to what she thinks is her due.

That is really sad Dana :-(

As an aside to the flea issue...cedar! Cheap, available at any lumber yard
or likely WalMart. Because our dogs are outside, we've used a fresh cedar
shake (like the kind you put on a roof) in each dog house every month and
thankfully we've never had an issue.

You should be able to buy a cedar chunk like for a chest or closet and use
that around the house in dog friendly spots and it should help.

So many weird things are happening. Your scared to death to eat anything
these days without a e-coli bacteria. I went to the healthfood store and
bought a spray for cleaning veggies. Now, "I hear honey when will supper
be ready." I say, when I'm through washing them. LOL
Thunder and Rusty are doing good on their frontline flea treatments.
Don't know but have sneaking suspicion that Winter has caused less bugs
this year. I think that having Garlic in their food could be another
reason why we waited until May to start them.
One night I came home late and one of those jumping spiders jumped out
at me.
Thank goodness for a healhy heart. Everybody in the neighborhood heard
me scream. LOL
