Archived from groups: alt>pets>dogs>pitbull (more info?)

Hi Group: Thanks for all your advice with my girls D and Ginger they are
doing OK D had a recently costly bout with colitis related to something she
devoured and could not pass, bled rectally and vomited for a week, but with
IV fluids and meds she made it and now we monitor her eating and chewing
even closer. She's still top dog and Ginger proves everyday her superior
temperment as she is friendly even tempered and long suffering with D's
constant outburst's of what we call tantrums. No serious fights. But on the
local news tonight there was an attack on a teen by a pit and I expect
hysteria in the local area. I pray not to many dogs are destroyed or given
up to shelters after this. We are thinking of adding to our family if the
shelters get overwhelmed as my daughters and I feel for the pits as we do
the thoroughbred horses we rescue. Hope this group is well, any folks in the
tristate area near WV, PA and MD (around Hagerstown MD ) watch the news and
you will understand my concern, the attack was in WV.Bye From---PITT
LOVE------
